I can't believe how much time has past since I was on the business booster course, it really seems like it was this July and not last year. Being out of corporate life is great fun. The first few months were a little odd, I definitely noticed the lack of 'safety-net' that you get used to when in a large corporation. But then, when I realised I was free from the corporate framework and could operate as I wanted, things were great. I'd have a hard time going back. It does take a lot of self discipline not to get distracted and you do have to push yourself because no one else will. Your recommended reading 'Think and Grow Rich' REALLY helped, a great book. I've learnt a lot about selling online in the mean time too. Many of the principles you taught are relevant but need to be tweaked since the majority of the marketing happens and you don't meet the persons you are selling to. Also how to monitor who where and what people are viewing on your site is so important to making sure you aren't putting off customers with a bad website. I found website developers are very good at designing site that look great and get them design awards but don't necessarily make you any money.

Ben is speaking today at the Bristol Franchise Show and is hoping to fill the attendees with the motivation to start or join a franchise. Ben has travelled to Bristol to show the attendees what the Business Booster Franchise is all about. The Franchisees have also gone with him because they will be able to relay their experience of being a franchisee.

Congratulations Stella on completing the 10K run in 63 minutes! The run was organised to raise funds for Cancer Research UK which is a very worthwhile charity. The run took place on Sunday at Althorp House, Northamptonshire. Congratulations again Stella and to everybody who took part in this event.

Ben was speaking at the Friday Business Club in Birmingham last Friday. The room was filled to the rafters with people coming to listen to him speak. All of the attendees thought that Ben was brillant and the room was buzzing with energy after Ben had finished. A number of the attendees wanted to get back to work and implement the ideas they had just been given.

Ben's accomplishment at winning the book deal to rewrite the UK edition of 'Selling for Dummies' has been noted in the Leicestershire Chamber of Commerce magazine. Ben has written the book with not just sales people in mind but for everybody because Ben believes that everybody can use selling skills to change or improve their lives. Ben said 'Winning this commission is amazing and I feel very proud to be recognised for my ability in sales and want to reach a wider audience with a message that is dear to my heart and I know will have practical value. Simon was orginally in direct sales and had become money orientated. He has now set himself new goals and wants to help other people. After being on the two day Business Booster Course he has learnt to look at things in a different light and found the programme to be very enlightening.
