I can't believe how much time has past since I was on the business booster course, it really seems like it was this July and not last year. Being out of corporate life is great fun. The first few months were a little odd, I definitely noticed the lack of 'safety-net' that you get used to when in a large corporation. But then, when I realised I was free from the corporate framework and could operate as I wanted, things were great. I'd have a hard time going back. It does take a lot of self discipline not to get distracted and you do have to push yourself because no one else will. Your recommended reading 'Think and Grow Rich' REALLY helped, a great book.
I've learnt a lot about selling online in the mean time too. Many of the principles you taught are relevant but need to be tweaked since the majority of the marketing happens and you don't meet the persons you are selling to. Also how to monitor who where and what people are viewing on your site is so important to making sure you aren't putting off customers with a bad website. I found website developers are very good at designing site that look great and get them design awards but don't necessarily make you any money.
